By Car
Geàrrannan Blackhouse Village is easily reached by car, with signposted routes from Stornoway (about 45 minutes), Callanish Stones (about 25 minutes), and Tarbert ferry terminal (around 1 hour 15 minutes). The scenic drive along the west coast of Lewis makes the journey part of the experience, offering sweeping sea views and dramatic landscapes before you arrive at the historic village.

Travelling to the Outer Hebrides
By Air
The Isle of Lewis has one airport, Stornoway (SYY). Loganair operate daily flights to Stornoway from Inverness (INV), Glasgow (GLA) and Edinburgh (EDI). All three airports have excellent connections within the UK and internationally.
By Ferry
This is the choice of the greatest majority of visitors to the Outer Hebrides. Caledonian MacBrayne operates a regular car ferry service between Ullapool and Stornoway, or alternatively between Uig (Isle of Skye) and Tarbert.
